AquaCarotene is an Australian company that has expertise in the growing of Micro Algae in outdoor ponds. Currently the Company grows Dunaliella salina in ponds at Karratha, Western Australia, for the production of organically certified natural Dry Marine Algae for use in the nutraceutical and other markets.
Organically Certified Dunaliella salina dry marine algae is rich in Beta Carotene and other antioxidants making it one of natures super foods. Comparisons with other super foods such as Spirulina show that AquaCarotene's Dry Marine Algae contains 6000 times the antioxidant content and twice the chorophyll content as Spirulina. AquaCarotene's Dry Marine Algae is also exceptionally rich in minerals and essential fatty acids such as Omega 3 and Omega 6.
